迦葉弟兄三人者。優樓頻羅迦葉。伽耶迦葉。那提迦葉也。非大迦葉。兼其徒侶一千人。又度王舍城舍利弗目犍連。兼其徒侶各一百人。那舍長者子等五十人。是眾隨佛行住故。經前列眾稱千二百五十人俱是也。經存大數。故略五人。

The three Kāśyapa brothers were Uruvilvā-kāśyapa, Gayā-kāśyapa, and Nadī-kāśyapa. They were not Mahākāśyapa. Together with their followers, they numbered one thousand. Further, he delivered Śāriputra and Maudgalyāyana of Rājagṛha, together with their followers of one hundred each, and the elder's son Yaśas and others, fifty people. Since this assembly followed the Buddha in all actions, the beginning of the sutras lists the assembly, stating, 'together with one thousand two hundred and fifty people.' The sutras retain the round number, hence omitting the five people.
