In the third month, two stone Buddha statues floated on the sea and entered the Huduk of Wusong River. The gentry and commoners gathered to gaze at their floating journey. Shamans, literati, and commoners vied with each other to welcome them, but the wind and waves surged fiercely. Zhu Ying of Wu County, who was a devoted follower of the Buddha, went to welcome the statues, took hold of them, and brought them onto his boat; they were as light as feathers. On the backs of the Buddhas, names were inscribed: one was called Vipasyin (Weixie), and the other was called Kāśyapa. They were installed in Tongxuan Monastery (now Kaiyuan Monastery in Pingjiang Circuit). Emperor Jianwen of the Liang Dynasty composed a record and made a praise for them (Monastery Record and Stela Inscription).
