西晉華戎譯經道俗十二人。出經律六百卷。建寺一百八十所。度僧尼三千七百人（弘明集）。

Under the Western Jin, there were twelve monastics and laymen, both Chinese and foreigners, who translated scriptures; they produced six hundred fascicles of sūtras and vinaya, built one hundred and eighty monasteries, and ordained three thousand seven hundred monks and nuns (Hongming ji).
