魏西竺中印度佛陀禪師（此云覺首）志愛嵩嶽。帝勅就少室山立少林寺居。師度弟子僧稠慧光（僧傳寺記）。
Chan Master Fotuo (here translated as Jueshou) from Central India in the Western Region cherished Mount Song. By imperial decree, Shaolin Monastery was founded on Mount Shaoshi for him to reside in. The Master ordained disciples Sengchou and Huiguang (Biographies of Monks and Monastery Records).
