慈悲懺法　梁帝初為雍州刺史時。夫人郗氏性酷妬既亡。至是。化為巨蟒入後宮。通夢於帝求拯拔。帝閱佛經為製慈悲道場懺法十卷。請僧懺禮。夫人化為天人。空中謝帝而去。其懺法行於世。曰梁皇懺。

Compassion Repentance Ritual: When the Emperor of Liang was initially the regional inspector of Yongzhou, his wife, Lady Xi, was by nature excessively jealous, and she died. By this time, she had transformed into a giant python, entered the rear palace, and appeared in the emperor's dream to seek deliverance. The emperor read Buddhist sutras and composed the ten-fascicle Compassion Bodhimaṇḍa Repentance Ritual for her, inviting monks to perform the repentance rites. Lady Xi transformed into a heavenly being, thanked the emperor from mid-air, and departed. This repentance ritual circulates in the world and is called the Liang Emperor's Repentance.
