律師　天竺尊者名卑摩羅叉（此云無垢眼）。至秦數年。今出遊關左。盛闡毘尼。鳩摩羅什所譯十誦戒本律藏大行者叉之力也。其所制內外禁輕重二卷今行于世。叉為人眼青。時號青眼律師（本傳）。

Vinaya Master. An Indian Venerable named Vimalākṣa (translated here as "Stainless Eye") arrived in Qin for several years, and now traveled east of the pass, widely elucidating the vinaya. That the Daśabhāṇavāra-prātimokṣa and Vinaya Piṭaka translated by Kumārajīva circulated widely was due to the efforts of Vimalākṣa. The Two Fascicles on the Relative Severity of Internal and External Prohibitions that he composed currently circulates in the world. Vimalākṣa's eyes were blue-green, so people at the time called him the "Blue-Eyed Vinaya Master" (from his biography).
