諱豫。初名俶。肅宗長子。封廣平王。為元帥。與郭子儀等克復二京。乾元元年立為皇太子。至是即位。在位十七年。壽五十三歲　廣德（二）永泰（一）大曆（十四）。

His taboo name was Yu; his original name was Chu. He was the eldest son of Suzong. He was enfeoffed as Prince of Guangping and served as Supreme Commander, recovering the two capitals together with Guo Ziyi and others. In the first year of Qianyuan, he was installed as Crown Prince. Thereupon he ascended the throne. He reigned for seventeen years and lived to the age of fifty-three. [Reign eras:] Guangde (two years), Yongtai (one year), Dali (fourteen years).
