庚申開成五年春正月帝崩。帝之弟武宗立。九月召道士趙歸真等。入禁中修金籙道場。十月武宗昇玄壇。親受法籙。左拾遺王哲諫曰。王業之初不宜崇信太過。

In the gengshen year, the fifth year of Kaicheng, in the spring, the first month, the Emperor passed away. The Emperor's younger brother Wuzong was established. In the ninth month, he summoned the Daoist Zhao Guizhen and others to enter the inner palace to cultivate the Golden Register Bodhimaṇḍa. In the tenth month, Wuzong ascended the mysterious altar and personally received the registers of the Dharma. Wang Zhe, the Left Reminder, remonstrated, "At the beginning of a king's enterprise, it is not suitable to venerate and believe [in Daoism] to excess."
