靈芝律師元照。普勸道俗歸命西方極樂世界阿彌陀佛。是時龍圖閣學士知杭州蘇軾。乃以捨其母蜀郡太君程氏遺留簪珥采畫淨土佛像。以薦父母。仍作頌讚之（東坡文集）　冬十月真州長蘆院禪師宗賾。與當時名勝盛結蓮華淨土念佛社（葦江集）。

Vinaya Master Yuanzhao of Lingzhi universally exhorted both monks and laity to take refuge in Amitābha Buddha of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. At that time, Su Shi, Academician of the Hall of the Dragon Diagram and Prefect of Hangzhou, donated the hairpin and earrings left behind by his mother, Lady of the Grand Commandery of Shu, née Cheng, and commissioned a polychrome painting of Pure Land Buddhist images to dedicate merit to his parents, further composing a eulogistic hymn for it (Dongpo wenji). In winter, the tenth month, Chan Master Zongze of Changlu Cloister in Zhenzhou organized a grand Lotus Pure Land Buddha-Recitation Society together with famous and eminent figures of the time (Weijiang ji).
