諱昀。寧宗姪。年二十歲即帝位。尊尚道學。崇重士類。初政翕然。晚年宰相賈似道買民田為官田。抑軍賞而不行。國體由是多故而衰焉。在位四十一年。壽六十一歲崩（續宋通鑑）　寶慶（三）紹定（六）端平（三）嘉熙（四）淳祐（十二）寶祐（六）開慶（一）景定（五）。

His taboo name was Yun. He was the nephew of Emperor Ningzong and ascended the imperial throne at the age of twenty. He honored and esteemed Daoist learning (Neo-Confucianism) and venerated the scholar class. The beginning of his administration was harmonious and united. In his later years, Chancellor Jia Sidao purchased private lands to convert them into government lands and suppressed rewards for the military without distributing them. Because of this, the state was troubled by many crises and declined. He was on the throne for forty-one years and passed away at the age of sixty-one (Continuation of the Comprehensive Mirror of the Song). Reign eras: Baoqing (three [years]), Shaoding (six), Duanping (three), Jiaxi (four), Chunyou (twelve), Baoyou (six), Kaiqing (one), and Jingding (five).
