金國是時群盜縱橫干戈充塞。括馬敷糧公私並竭。金由是困矣（金志）。

At this time in the Jin state, bands of bandits roamed unchecked, and weapons and armor filled the land. Requisitions of horses and exactions of grain exhausted both the public coffers and private means; because of this, the Jin was in dire straits (Record of Jin).
