丙寅咸淳二年　丁卯三年到曾參邴國公．孔仍沂國公。配享先聖顓孫師陳國公。陞十哲之位。進賈似道平章軍國重事魏國公。帝稱師臣。通國稱曰師相（宋鑑）。戊辰四年　己巳五年　庚午六年二月。帝一日問似道。曰襄陽之圍三年矣奈何。賈相曰北兵已退去。陛下得何人言。帝曰適有女嬪言之。賈相詰問而殺之。自是無人敢對帝言邊事者（續宋通鑑）。

The bingyin year, the second year of Xianchun [1266]. The dingmao year, the third year [1267]. Posthumous honors were bestowed: Zeng Shen was made Duke of the State of Bing, and Kong Ji Duke of the State of Yi, to be accompanied in sacrifice with the ancient sage; Zhuansun Shi was made Duke of the State of Chen, raised to the rank of the Ten Philosophers. Jia Sidao was promoted to Manager of Important Affairs of the State and Military and Duke of the State of Wei. The Emperor addressed him as "Master-Minister," and the entire realm addressed him as "Master Councilor" (Songjian). The wuchen year, the fourth year [1268]. The jisi year, the fifth year [1269]. The gengwu year, the sixth year [1270], the second month. One day the Emperor asked Sidao, saying: "The siege of Xiangyang has lasted three years; what shall we do?" Councilor Jia said: "The northern troops have already retreated. From whom did Your Majesty hear this?" The Emperor said: "Just now a palace lady mentioned it." Councilor Jia interrogated and killed her. From then on, no one dared to speak of border affairs before the Emperor (Xu Song tongjian).
