In spring, the second month, Dharma Master Fahui Zhiyuan of Gushan on West Lake in Hangzhou, who was styled Zhongyongzi, composed his own funeral oration and elegy on the seventeenth day, and entered extinction on the nineteenth day. Zhiyuan had composed ten commentaries elucidating the scriptures. The retired scholar Lin Bu, [conferred the posthumous title] Hejing, was his neighbor; Dharma Master Zunshi of Tianzhu was his friend. He lived for forty-seven years and was a monk for thirty-nine years. He was buried in an earthenware vessel (which is a pottery jar). In the third year of the Jingyou reign era of Emperor Renzong, because accumulated rain caused the mountain to collapse, his tomb was opened: his whole body was as if alive, his nails and hair had grown, his red lips were slightly parted, and his teeth were like conch-shell snow. They dressed him in new robes, scattered various renowned fragrances, and reburied him. During the Shaoxing era of Emperor Gaozong, when the Sisheng Daoist Abbey was built on Gushan, the master's stupa was moved to the Agate Slope on the Northern Mountain (Gushan xianju bian and the Xingye ji of the Repentance Master).
