天台佛隴修禪寺釋可。號宜行。博綜台宗。精修止觀。聽雨偈曰。簷前滴滴甚分明。迷處眾生聽作聲。我亦年來多逐物。春宵一枕夢難成。

The monk Ke of Xiuchan Monastery on the Folong peak of Mount Tiantai, styled Yixing, was broadly versed in the Tiantai school and refined in the practice of calming and contemplation (śamatha-vipaśyanā). His verse on listening to the rain said: / 'In front of the eaves, each drop is crystal clear; / In delusion, sentient beings hear them as mere sound. / I too in recent years have chased worldly things; / On a spring night, upon a single pillow, dreams are hard to form.'
