諱愛育。黎拔力八達順宗次子。武宗同母弟也。武宗以帝為皇太子。武宗崩遂嗣位。在位十年。壽三十六　帝天性慈孝聰明恭儉。通達儒術愛養民力。孜孜為治一。遵世祖成憲。為盛德守文之主。

His taboo name was Ayurbarwada. He was the second son of Shunzong and the younger brother of Wuzong by the same mother. Wuzong made him Crown Prince; when Wuzong passed away, he succeeded to the throne. He reigned for ten years and lived to thirty-six. The Emperor was by nature compassionate, filial, intelligent, respectful, and frugal. He was thoroughly versed in Confucian learning and cared for and nourished the strength of the people. Diligent in governance, he entirely complied with the established precedents of Shizu, being a ruler of flourishing virtue who preserved the heritage.
