丁巳延祐四年。勅加東林遠法師。號妙覺寂光宏辨大師。都省咨文　四月不雨。帝露香禱天既而大雨。左右進雨衣不受。

In the dingsi year, the fourth year of Yanyou [1317], an imperial edict added to Dharma Master Yuan of Donglin the title 'Great Master Miaojue Jiguang Hongbian'. An official communication from the Central Secretariat was issued. In the fourth month it did not rain; the Emperor made bare-headed prayers with incense to Heaven, whereupon heavy rain fell; his attendants presented a raincoat, but he would not accept it.
