癸亥至元三年。勅寫金字藏經。學士吳澄為序曰。主上寫經為民祈福。甚盛舉也。

In the guihai year, the third year of the Zhi[zhi] reign era, an imperial decree ordered the transcription of the Canon in gold script. Academician Wu Cheng wrote a preface, saying: "That the Sovereign transcribes the sūtras to pray for blessings for the people is a most grand undertaking!"
