天如禪師　諱惟則。號天如。得法於中峯國師。住姑蘇師子林。有楞嚴會解禪宗語錄淨土或問十法界圖說等書。行世。

Chan Master Tianru: His taboo name was Weize, and his appellation was Tianru. He received the Dharma from National Preceptor Zhongfeng and resided at the Shizilin (Lion Grove) in Gusu. He wrote Lengyan huijie (Integrated Explanations of the Śūraṅgama Sūtra), Chan zong yulu (Recorded Sayings of the Chan School), Jingtu huowen (Questions on the Pure Land), and Shi fajie tu shuo (Illustrated Exposition of the Ten Dharma Realms), which circulated in the world.
