郭子興　定遠人。見汝頴兵起列郡騷動。遂與其黨孫德崖等起兵。自稱元師攻援濠州。據之其豪傑多入城。以自保矣。

Guo Zixing was a man of Dingyuan. Seeing troops rising in Ru and Ying and the various commanderies in turmoil, he thereupon raised troops with his partisan Sun Deya and others, styled himself Field Marshal, attacked and occupied Haozhou, and held it. Many heroic leaders entered the city to secure their own safety.
