癸卯二十三年　宋龍鳳九年　漢大義四年　正月。明玉珍稱帝。建國號大夏。改元天統元年。

The twenty-third year, guimao; the ninth year of Longfeng of the Song; the fourth year of Dayi of the Han. In the first month, Ming Yuzhen proclaimed himself emperor, established the state title Great Xia, and changed the era name to the first year of Tiantong.
