回回孛可獻大珠。邀價鈔數萬錠。帝曰。珠何為當留此錢以周貧者。十月彗星入紫微垣抵斗魁。光芒尺餘。凡一月乃滅。

The Muslim Bogu presented a large pearl, demanding a price of tens of thousands of ingots of paper currency. The Emperor said: "What use is a pearl? This money ought to be retained to provide for the poor." In the tenth month, a comet entered the Purple Forbidden Enclosure and reached the Dipper's Scoop, its radiance extending over a foot. It was extinguished only after an entire month.
