一僧合避者不許奔走市村。以化緣為繇。致令無藉凌辱有傷佛教。若有此等。擒獲到官。治以敗壞祖風之罪。

"First, monks should avoid rushing around markets and villages under the pretext of soliciting alms, which causes vagabonds to insult them and harms the Buddhist teaching. If there are such persons, let them be arrested and brought to the authorities, and punished for the crime of ruining the patriarchal tradition."
