世宗第三子。初封裕王。太子薨。帝崩即皇帝位。在位六年。于壬申五月二十六日崩。壽三十六。上徽號曰。契天明道淵懿寬仁顯文光武純德全孝莊皇帝。廟號穆宗。葬昭陵。

Third son of Shizong. Initially enfeoffed as the Prince of Yu. When the Crown Prince died and the Emperor passed away, he ascended the imperial throne. He reigned for six years and passed away on the twenty-sixth day of the fifth month in the renshen year, aged thirty-six. His posthumous honorific title was Emperor Zhuang, Accordant with Heaven, Illuminator of the Dao, Profound and Gracious, Lenient and Benevolent, Manifesting Culture, Radiant in Martial Might, of Pure Virtue and Complete Filial Piety. His temple name was Muzong, and he was buried in Zhaoling.
