己巳三年。高拱兼太師尚書學士。入閣豫機。掌吏部事。海瑞為僉都御史總理漕運。巡撫應天等處。

The third year, jisi. Gao Gong concurrently held [the posts of] Grand Preceptor, Minister, and Academician, entered the Grand Secretariat to participate in confidential affairs, and took charge of the Ministry of Personnel. Hai Rui became Assistant Censor-in-Chief, managing grain transport and acting as Grand Coordinator of Yingtian and other places.
