丁丑五年十月朔。彗星見斗牛間。其尾指婺女。長數十丈。光芒竟天。狀若練。氣成白虹　大內火　身服繡豸。心同犬羊（鄒兄標語）。

The fifth year, dingchou, on the first day of the tenth month. A comet appeared between the Dipper and Ox constellations. Its tail pointed toward the Maiden; it was tens of fathoms long, and its brilliance filled the sky, shaped like white silk, its vapor forming a white rainbow. There was a fire in the imperial palace. "Their bodies are clad in robes embroidered with xiezhi beasts, but their minds are like dogs and sheep" (these were the words of Elder Brother Zou).
