孤月禪師　名淨澄。燕都人張姓。參月溪老人。指示有省。聞爆竹聲豁然心空。又造雲谷師處。付於衣法。詩云。甘貧林下思悠悠。竹榻橫眠枕石頭。格外生涯隨分足。都緣胸次為無求。有清涼錄行世。

Chan Master Guyue: His name was Jingcheng; a native of the capital of the Zhang surname. He consulted the Elder Yuexi, whose pointers brought him awakening. Hearing the sound of firecrackers, his mind was suddenly completely empty. He also went to Master Yungu's place, where the robe and Dharma were conferred on him. His poem said: 'Content with poverty in the forest, thoughts roam far; / Lying horizontally on a bamboo couch, pillows on a stone. / A life beyond the ordinary, satisfied within one's lot; / All because in the chest there is no seeking.' He had the Qingliang Record circulating in the world.
