戊申三年二月。冊立皇長子御名祁唐。為皇太子 上曰。古人謂。笛者滌也。所以滌邪穢納之。以正之意也。
In the second month of the third year, wushen, the imperial eldest son, whose taboo name was Qizhen, was invested as Crown Prince. The emperor said, 'The ancients said that a flute (di) means to cleanse (di), meaning to cleanse away evil and defilement and admit uprightness.'
