白飯有二子。一名阿難。二名調達（大智論云。白飯二子跋提提沙。十二遊經云。甘露淨王二子。長子名調達。小子名阿難）。

Śuklodana had two sons: the first was named Ānanda, and the second was named Devadatta (the Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa states that Śuklodana's two sons were Bhadrika and Tiṣya. The Shi'er you jing states that King Ganlujing had two sons: the elder son was named Devadatta, and the younger son was named Ānanda).
