The Xiuxing benqi jing says: 'In the kingdom, eighty-four thousand elders all bore sons; eighty-four thousand stable mares bore foals, one of which was uniquely extraordinary, pure white in coat, its mane strung with pearls, and so it was named Jiante (Kaṇṭhaka). The slave was named Chante (Channa).' The Ruiying benqi jing says: 'The slave was named Cheni (Channa), and the horse was named Jianzhi (Kaṇṭhaka).'
