祐云。敬惟。佛生七日母昇忉利。三世佛法莫不自然。摩耶積因記化誕聖。是以。既為天師而方味其乳。已入涅槃而還起致敬。欲報之德於斯至矣。

Sengyou states: I respectfully reflect that seven days after the Buddha's birth, his mother ascended to Trāyastriṃśa; in the Dharma of the buddhas of the three times, this is always natural. Māyā accumulated causes and was destined by transformation to give birth to the sage. Therefore, even though he was already the Teacher of Devas, he tasted her milk; and even though she had entered nirvāṇa, she arose again to pay respect. The virtue of wishing to repay kindness reaches its peak herein!
