耶舍後南遊江陵，止于辛寺，大弘禪法，其有味靖之賓，披榛而至者，三百餘人。凡士庶造者，雖先無信心，見皆敬悅。自說有一師一弟子修業，並得羅漢，傳者失其名。又嘗於外門閉戶坐禪，忽有五六沙門來入其室。又時見沙門飛來樹端者，往往非一。常交接神明，而俯同矇俗，雖道迹未彰，時人咸謂已階聖果。至宋元嘉中，辭還西域，不知所終。

Later, Dharmayaśas travelled south to Jiangling and stayed at the Xin Temple, where he greatly propagated the method of dhyāna. Those who relished tranquility and hacked through the brambles to come to him numbered more than three hundred. All scholars and commoners who visited him, even if they had lacked faith before, became reverent and delighted upon seeing him. He himself said that a teacher and a disciple of his had cultivated their practice and both attained arhatship, but the biographers have lost their names. Once, when he closed the outer door and sat in dhyāna, five or six śramaṇas suddenly entered his room. At other times, śramaṇas were frequently seen flying to the tops of trees on more than one occasion. He constantly consorted with divine beings yet condescended to mingle with the ordinary populace; although the traces of his spiritual attainment were not openly displayed, the people of the day all said that he had already ascended to the holy fruit. In the Yuanjia era of the Song, he took leave to return to the Western Regions, and his final end is unknown.
