度多在延賢寺法意處，時世以此鉢異物，競往觀之。一說云：「靈期舫漂至一窮山，遇見一僧來云：是度上弟子，昔持師鉢而死治城寺，今因君以鉢還師，但令一人擎鉢舫前，一人正拕，自安隱至也。期如所教，果獲全濟。」

Beidu mostly stayed with Fayidai at Yanxian Temple. At that time, people considered this bowl a miraculous object and vied to go see it. Another account says: "Lingqi's vessel drifted to a remote mountain, where he met a monk who came and said, 'I am Beidu's principal disciple. In the past, while holding my master's bowl, I died at Zhicheng Temple. Now, by your means, I return the bowl to my master. Merely have one person hold the bowl at the prow of the vessel and one person hold the helm straight, and you will arrive safely and peacefully of your own accord.' Lingqi followed his instructions, and indeed they were completely saved."
