Shi Senghui was surnamed Liu, and it is unknown where he came from. He lived in Jingzhou for several decades. Liu Qiu of Nanyang built Zhiqi Temple and invited him to dwell there. The people of the time had seen him for fifty or sixty years, yet in the end he never aged. His deportment was brisk and casual, without much dignified demeanor. When he visited a sick person's home, if he looked angry they were sure to die, and if joyful they were sure to recover; the people of the time all took this as an omen. Of all those he had not yet met, he fully knew whether their relatives and cousins were alive or dead. Hui once came to the riverbank and told the ferry warden that he sought to cross. The warden, pressed because the boat was small, had not yet ferried him across. In an instant, people already saw Hui on the other side; everyone on both banks marveled at his spiritual wonder. Zhen Tian of Zhongshan and Che Tan of Nanping invited Hui on the same day. Hui attended both. Later, when the two families investigated, they realized he had bilocated.
