梁鄱陽忠烈王，嘗屈誌來第會。忽令覓荊子甚急，既得，安之門上，莫測所以。少時，王便出為荊州刺史。其預鑒之明，此類非一。

Xiao Hui, Prince Zhonglie of Poyang under the Liang, once invited Zhi to a gathering at his mansion. Zhi suddenly ordered that chaste-tree branches be sought in great haste; once obtained, he placed them above the gate, no one understanding why. Shortly afterward, the Prince went out to serve as Regional Inspector of Jingzhou. Instances of his prescient insight were numerous like this.
