初誌顯迹之始，年可五六十許，而終亦不老，人咸莫測其年。有徐捷道者，居于京師九日臺北。自言是誌外舅弟，小誌四年，計誌亡時應年九十七矣。

When Zhi first began manifesting his traces, his age was around fifty or sixty, and at his death he was still not aged; no one could fathom his years. There was a certain Xu Jiedao living north of Jiuritai in the capital, who stated that he was Zhi's younger maternal cousin, four years younger than Zhi; by calculation, when Zhi died he must have been ninety-seven years old.
