11.11

猷每恨不得度石橋。後潔齋累日，復欲更往。見橫石洞開，度橋少許，覩精舍神僧，果如前所說。因共燒香中食。食畢，神僧謂猷曰：「却後十年，自當來此，今未得住。」於是而返。顧看橫石，還合如初。

Tanyou always regretted being unable to cross the stone bridge. Later, having purified himself by fasting for several days, he wished to go again. He saw that the horizontal rock stood wide open, and having crossed the bridge slightly, he beheld a monastery and divine monks, just as had been described before. Together, they burned incense and ate the midday meal. When the meal was finished, a divine monk said to Tanyou: "Ten years from now, you will naturally come here; for now, you may not stay." Thereupon he returned. Looking back at the horizontal rock, it had closed up again as before.
