上虞徐山，先有曇隆道人。少善席上，晚忽苦節過人，亦為謝靈運所重，常共遊嶀嵊。亡後，運迺誄焉。

Previously, at Mount Xu in Shangyu, there was the monk Tanlong. In his youth he excelled in salon discourse, but in his later years he suddenly surpassed others in austere discipline. He was also deeply esteemed by Xie Lingyun, and they often wandered together through Mount Ku and Mount Sheng. After his death, Lingyun wrote an elegy for him.
