後龍光又有沙門寶林，初經長安受學，後祖述生公諸義，時人號曰「遊玄生」。著《涅槃記》及注《異宗論》、《檄魔文》等。林弟子法寶，亦學兼內外，著《金剛後心論》等，亦祖述生義焉。近代又有釋慧生者，亦止龍光寺。蔬食，善眾經，兼工草隸。時人以同寺相繼，號曰大小二生。

Later, at Longguang [Temple], there was also the śramaṇa Baolin. He had initially studied in Chang'an, and later carried on and expounded the various doctrines of Master [Dao]sheng; people of the time called him "Sheng who roams the arcane." He wrote the Niepan ji (Chronicle of Nirvāṇa) and annotated the Yizong lun (Treatise on Different Tenets), the Xi mo wen (Denunciation of Māra), and other works. [Bao]lin's disciple Fabao also combined both internal and external learning, and wrote the Jingang houxin lun (Treatise on the Final Mind of the Vajra) and other works, likewise carrying on and expounding [Dao]sheng's doctrines. In recent times there was also Shi Huisheng, who likewise resided at Longguang Temple. He ate a vegetarian diet, was skilled in various scriptures, and was proficient in both cursive and clerical scripts. Because they succeeded one another in the same temple, contemporaries called them the Elder and Younger Sheng.
