度有弟子僧朗，繼踵先師，復綱山寺。朗本遼東人，為性廣學，思力該普。凡厥經律，皆能講說，《華嚴》、三《論》最所命家。今上深見器重，勅諸義士受業于山。

Fadu had a disciple named Senglang, who followed in the footsteps of his late master and again took charge of the mountain temple. Lang was originally a native of Liaodong. By nature broad in his learning, the power of his intellect was comprehensive. He could lecture on all the sūtras and vinayas, but was most authoritative in the Buddhāvataṃsaka and the Three Treatises. Our current Emperor (Emperor Wu of Liang) held him in high esteem and ordered scholars of doctrine to receive instruction on the mountain.
