9.58

此寺中有思惟樹數十株枯死。域問永文，此樹死來幾時？永文曰：「積年矣。」域即向樹呪，如呪永文法。樹尋荑發，扶疎榮茂。

In this temple were several tens of withered contemplation trees. Jīvaka asked Yongwen, 'How long have these trees been dead?' Yongwen said, 'For many years.' Jīvaka then chanted an incantation toward the trees using the same method as he had for Yongwen. The trees soon sprouted shoots, growing luxuriant and flourishing.
