As I have investigated the accounts of śramaṇas who traveled through various regions, the routes they recorded are at times inconsistent, and the locations of the Buddha's bowl and uṣṇīṣa bone also differ. This indicates that traveling to India was not limited to a single route, and that the miraculous relocations of the uṣṇīṣa and the bowl reached different lands at different times. Therefore, what they transmitted from what they saw and heard is difficult to reduce to a uniform standard.
