After Amoghavajra passed away, the ink-brush edicts bestowed across three reigns were all presented back [to the court]. Honored in life and mourned in death, among the monks who transmitted the Dharma from the Western Regions, very few in past or present could compare with him. The one who succeeded to his Dharma position was Master Huilang. Censor-in-Chief Yan Ying composed the stele inscription, and Xu Hao calligraphed it, erected in his home compound.
