系曰：傳教令輪者，東夏以金剛智為始祖，不空為二祖，慧朗為三祖，已下宗承所損益可知也。自後岐分派別。
The appraisal says: As for those who transmit the wheel of instructive commands, in the Eastern Lands, Vajrabodhi is the first patriarch, Bukong is the second patriarch, and Huilang is the third patriarch; from this point downward, what was gained or lost in their lineage may well be known. Thenceforth branches divided and streams separated.
