2.10

又途中遭寇，舉刃三斫而肢體無傷，揮劍者唯聞銅聲而已。前登雪山大池，畏不悆。掬多自空而至曰：「菩薩身同世間，不捨生死。汝久離相，寧有病耶？」言訖沖天，畏洗然而愈。

Furthermore, along the way he encountered bandits who raised their blades to strike him thrice, but his limbs were left unharmed; those who swung their swords heard only the sound of bronze. Proceeding forward, he ascended to a great lake on the Snow Mountains, where Śubhakarasiṃha fell ill. Dharmagupta arrived from midair and said: "The body of a bodhisattva is identical to that of the worldly realm, yet does not abandon birth and death. Having long transcended marks, how could you have illness?" Having spoken, he soared into the sky, and Śubhakarasiṃha was refreshed and cured.
