There was also the nun Huashou (Flower Hands) of Gaokuang County. She recited the Lotus Sūtra. Just as she became fluent in the first fascicle, a flower grew upon the nail of her right hand, shaped like water caltrop. In this manner, when she had recited five fascicles, five flowers grew upon the nails of her five fingers. Next, when she recited the sixth and seventh fascicles, two more flowers grew inside her palm, larger in shape than the previous ones. Because of this, throughout the prefecture she was called the Flower-Handed Nun. The nun also did not practice severe austerities. Emperor Wu of the Chen summoned her for an audience to see it. It is not known how she ended.
