尼淨真住長安積善寺。納衣乞食一生無瞋。讀金剛經萬八千遍。專精念佛。顯慶五年七月染患。語弟子曰。五月內十度見阿彌陀佛。又兩度見極樂世界寶蓮華童子遊戲。又有聖僧。五度授記曰。我當作佛。又曰。吾得上品往生。跏趺而終。經宿却醒語弟子曰。吾得菩薩位也。遍歷十方供養諸佛。言訖而終。光照於寺。

The nun Jingzhen lived at Jishan Monastery in Chang'an. Wearing patched robes and begging for food, she spent her entire life without anger. She recited the Vajracchedikā Sūtra eighteen thousand times and exclusively concentrated on buddhamanasikāra. In the seventh month of the fifth year of Xianqing, she contracted an illness and said to her disciples, “Within five months, I have seen Amitābha Buddha ten times. Furthermore, twice I saw jewel lotus flower boys sporting in the Land of Bliss. In addition, a holy monk five times conferred the prediction upon me, saying, ‘You will become a Buddha.’ He also said, ‘I shall attain rebirth of the highest grade.’” She sat cross-legged and died. After passing the night, she revived and said to her disciples, “I have attained the bodhisattva stage. I traversed everywhere in the ten directions to make offerings to the Buddhas.” Having spoken these words, she died, and light illuminated the monastery.
