贊曰。愚與潛章為友。而潛以耽詩。親名失淨土之利。黜世智疎世緣。求西方者。當書諸紳。

The eulogy says: Yu was friends with Qian and Zhang. Yet Qian, through indulging in poetry and drawing close to renown, forfeited the benefit of the Pure Land. Dismissing worldly cleverness and distancing oneself from worldly conditions—those who seek the Western Direction should write this upon their sashes!
