宋智深。號慈川。學於海月。歸嘉禾。開長堂供眾二十年。專志念佛。常以淨業化人。得往生者甚眾。忽示疾。客至問安。談論如常時。客方出門。即遷化。人見紫雲。向西而沒焉。

Zhishen of the Song was styled Cichuan. He studied under Haiyue. Returning to Jiahe, he opened a long hall to provide for the assembly for twenty years, dedicating his resolve to buddhamanasikāra. He constantly transformed people through pure karma, and those who attained rebirth were very numerous. He suddenly manifested illness. When guests arrived to inquire after his health, he conversed as usual. Just as the guests stepped out the door, he passed away. People saw purple clouds disappearing toward the west.
