智深號慈行。學於海月。歸嘉禾開長堂供。二十年專志念佛。常以淨業化人。得往生顯驗者甚眾。一日示疾。客至問安。談論如常。時客方出門。師即遷化。人見紫雲向西而沒。

Zhishen, styled Cihang, studied under Haiyue. He returned to Jiahe and established the Long Hall Offerings, single-mindedly dedicating himself to reciting the Buddha's name for twenty years. He frequently transformed people through pure karma, and those who obtained clear proofs of rebirth were very numerous. One day he displayed illness. When a guest came to inquire after his health, he conversed as usual. Just as the guest stepped out the door, the Master passed away. People saw purple clouds heading west and disappearing.
