Zongli of the Song lived at Bizhao in Xincheng, cultivating buddhānusmṛti-samādhi for ten years. Later he entered Mount Daowei and built a hut named Yixiang. Fifteen years later, he suddenly said to his disciples: "I have seen blue lotus flowers filling the sky for three days." He further said: "The Buddha has come!" He then wrote a verse saying: / "I am ninety years of age, my hair snowy white; / In the world there should be no guests of a hundred years. / The person of the Way of One Mark returns home; / Sitting firmly upon the golden dais, heaven and earth become narrow." / He peacefully transformed.
